Voices of Women from the Medina is a series of testimonies from Tunisian women where they share their experiences of working, living and studying in the Medina of Tunis and showcase the significance that the Medina plays in their lives. It is part of the FEMMEDINA Inclusive City Program that examines participatory, gender-sensitive approaches to urban planning.

In this video, solicitor Faiza Douiri who grew up in the Medina explains why the old town of Tunis is a magical place to her. She also speaks about the important – yet often hidden – role of women in shaping everyday life in the Medina.
