Working together for greater collective impact and influence, to make cities fit for children.
Cities4Children is a global alliance of more than 30 organisations committed to making cities better places for children and youth, especially the most marginalised.
Established in 2020, the alliance brings together diverse partners to address the many challenges faced by children growing up in urban areas. With an estimated 60 percent of urban residents projected to be under 18 by 2030, Cities4Children calls for stronger investment and action to make cities safe, inclusive, and supportive for all children.
By acting together, members increase their collective influence, reduce duplication, and move beyond siloed approaches. The alliance has gained visibility in global, national, and local debates, helping ensure that children’s needs, rights, and voices are part of the urban agenda.
Cities4Children brings together its members to exchange knowledge, shape common positions, and coordinate action. Through joint events, strategic dialogues, and collaborative initiatives, the alliance connects practitioners, advocates, and policymakers committed to making cities better for children.
No single organisation can tackle urban inequality alone. Cities4Children provides a shared platform to speak with one voice and keep children’s rights at the centre of urban development.

As a growing knowledge platform, Cities4Children hosts a hub of practical tools, reports, case studies, success stories, and research. It also runs an active blog and issues a quarterly newsletter to share insights and spark discussion across its network.
Cities Alliance is an active member of the Cities4Children Steering Committee and contributes to its ongoing work.
