Workshop by invitation only.
To foster women’s engagement and leadership in inclusive urban planning, Cities Alliance and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), in collaboration with the Municipality of Tunis, launched in December 2020 the project Femmedina: Inclusive City Program in Tunis.
The initiative focuses on creating public spaces in the Medina of Tunis, that are more inclusive and appropriate to women’s needs.
As part of the first phase of the project, Cities Alliance organizes an in-person participatory assessment workshop. The event will gather key local stakeholders to discuss in-depth the economic, politic-institutional, spatial, and civic-cultural aspects of women’s participation.
The objectives of the workshop are to reach a common understanding of the most pressing challenges that women are facing in the Medina, and to define policy recommendations.
