The programme focuses on promoting gender equality and empowering women and girls to integrate a gender-based approach into urban planning.

Despite the global pandemic, our Cities for Women global programme carried out many activities in 2020 dedicated to promoting gender equality and to empowering women and girls across the world.

Our projects covered topics such as local participatory action and research,  gender mainstreaming and knowledge exchange, in countries including Tunisia, Liberia, Nepal and The Gambia.
