Closed-door seminar focusing on the Future of Cities, organized by Fulbright Commission in Brussels

The Fulbright Program is the flagship international educational exchange program sponsored by the U.S. government and is designed to increase mutual understanding between the people of the United States and the people of other countries.

Since 2017, the annual EU-US Young Leaders Seminar has brought together young leaders from the USA and Europe to discuss some of the most important issues facing both sides of the Atlantic. The event, co-financed by the European Commission and the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, represents a unique opportunity for young leaders from across the United States and the European Union to discuss important issues and form lasting interpersonal relationships.

The 2021 EU-US Young Leaders Seminar on the Future of Cities will take place virtually between 14 and 20 April 2021. Through a series of panels and working group meetings, seminar participants will discuss the future of cities through the lenses of environment and climate change, technology, diversity and inclusion, and public health and will be invited to present their findings and recommendations to the public.

This year, Giulia Maci will represent Cities Alliance to share her experience and expertise with seminar participants during a session on “Building Inclusive Cities”.
