Mentoring Story: Lilongwe & Johannesburg Experience

The mentorship program between the Lilongwe City Council and the City of Johannesburg was organised for the preparation fo a City Development Strategy (CDS) for Lilongwe.  Through this process, CDS served as a helpful tool to improve internal institutional performance.

Moreover, it achieved signifant results such as implementation of the Informnal Settlement Up-grading Preject (ISUP), achievement of the Guanzhou International Award for Urban innovation in 2012, and zero cholera cases for the period from 2009 to 2011.
