Dear Consultative Group, 
 
We are looking forward to a very full week in Mexico! Please read this email carefully as there are quite a few logistical details included:
 
1.) Hotel Reservations:
As usual, all members are responsible for making their own hotel reservations. Please use the UCLG Mexico City Website: http://www.uclgmexicocity2010.org/ and select one of the many official congress hotels, with a range of prices. For your information, the Cities Alliance Secretariat will be staying at the Hilton Hotel Reforma.
 
2.) Transportation to and from the Airport:
Taxis from the airport can cost up to USD25/one way. Please be alert when traveling at night. 
 
3.) Transportation around the City:
Please note that official transportation will only be provided between official Congress hotels (found on the hotel list - Zones 1-4) and the Congress venues.
 
4.) Meeting Venues:
  • Cities Alliance Executive Committee Meeting will be held at the Hotel Hilton Mexico City Reforma
  • Cities Alliance Consultative Group Meeting will be held at the Palacio de Mineria
  • The UCLG Meeting Headquarters will be at the Palacio de Mineria
5.) UCLG Technical Site Visits:
 We encourage you to register for the UCLG Technical Visit Programme (18, 19 November). Spaces are limited, so please email technicalvisits@uclgmexicocity2010.org directly to reserve your space as soon as possible. We have attached the current list of visits available (see attachment 3)
 
6.) Registration Fees:
 The Cities Alliance will cover the UCLG Registration Fee for TWO official delegates from each Cities Alliance Member. ONLY Cities Alliance sponsored, Member Delegates need complete and submit the attached Form (see attachment five). Please let Sid Henderson and Regianne Bertolassi (shenderson@citiesalliance.org, rbertolassi@citiesalliance.org) know which TWO delegates the Cities Alliance should pay for. All other delegates must register directly on the UCLG Mexico City website: http://www.uclgmexicocity2010.org/  
 
7.) Visas
Should you require a Visa to Travel to Mexico, kindly please email: visas@uclgmexicocity2010.org If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Sid or Regianne (shenderson@citiesalliance.org, rbertolassi@citiesalliance.org).
 
All documentation will be posted on the Members Page on the Cities Alliance website.
