Why Street Addressing?
Street Addressing has a wide variety of important applications for city management, such as resource mobilization, land management, service delivery, and utility management.  It facilitates the delivery of basic services such as emergency health, fire and police services, among others. More importantly, assigning individuals an identifiable location in the city provides both a physical and a symbolic connecting point for all citizens within the community. Street addressing thus creates a sense of civic identity.

14-Country Pilot Course
A successful online pilot course was offered in English, from November 30 to December 23, 2009, facilitated by tutors and through interactive discussion fora.  The pilot group included participants from Gaza, Ghana, Ethiopia, Uganda, Rwanda, Zimbabwe, Albania, Mongolia, India, Pakistan, Colombia, Mexico, El Salvador and United States of America.
